Experience the relaxed atmosphere of planning your wedding day at Te Maru Farm. So you can have the wedding you want with all your special touches you need to arrange for your own wedding planner (if required) vendors such as caterers, photographer, music, flowers table settings, linen and tables and chairs.
There is some recommended suppliers/vendors on our web page but feel free to contact us about this if you are out of town or you need our advice.

VISITING THE VENUE
Visits to the venue is by appointment only. As this is our home and we are very busy during weekends , we ask that you limit your visit to one during the weekdays unless by prior arrangement. Please understand that multiple visits are not possible.
PRICING
• Barn venue hire from $6,000.00 plus GST depending on number of guests and dates.
• Cottage rental $250.00/night.
• Deposit of 50% non-refundable is requested to secure your preferred wedding date.
Seating up to 160 persons unless otherwise discussed and arranged. A $1000.00 cleaning/security/damage bond paid one week prior to event and fully refundable after the event provided policies are followed and no damage has occurred.
RENTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
• Reserving and coordinating with your own venders.
• Providing your own liquor and beverages. We will provide a member of Te Maru staff to assist with the bar and general running of venue through the event.
• Rental of tables chairs, linen place settings, and glassware.
SMOKING, COOKING, AND OPEN FLAMES
• No smoking or cooking of any kind are allowed in the barn.
• Caterers have the use of the kitchen for heating prepared food.
• Sand buckets are dotted around for outdoor smoking, a designated smoking area must be provided.
• We are happy to help out with this, please just ask.
• No open flames of any type are permitted, this is an all wood structure. LED tea lights are readily available in many styles.
• No fireworks or flying lanterns, any other form of entertainment that involves a naked flame.
PARKING
• Car parking is available for the venders and helpers setting up
• Please don’t park on the lawns, they get tired pretty quickly and we want them to look great for you and your guests.
• We have limited parking for guests, we would expect you to organise small bus transport to and from the venue.
• Given our location and the long one-way gravel driveway and too keep our neighbours happy this is the preferred option.
• We want everyone to get home safely. All guests must leave by 12.30 am.
• No Tents or Marques, and sorry, definitely no camping overnight.
MUSIC AND SOUNDS
• You need to arrange your own music for your function.
• We have a high quality stereo system for the venue but it is not designed for really loud music so you would be expected to provide your own musicians or band for this purpose.
• The stereo system is blue tooth so easily connected to most devices.
• All music must start to wind down by 11.30 and be completely shut down by midnight.
• We do have a good PA system with two microphones but is only for use within the venue.
• You will need to rent a PA system if required outside the venue for any ceremony etc .
CLEAN UP
• You must be responsible for the clean up after your event, all decorations, flowers, wedding arches will need to be taken down and removed.
• Please request that the caterers remove all food related trash on the day and ensure no food has been left in the fridge.
• Bottles placed in the recycle bins, tables and chairs stacked ready for us to clean the floors and toilets.
• If you don’t wish to clean-up after your wedding, arrangements can be made at your cost for this service.
DAMAGES
• Renters are responsible for any damages occurred to the property of Te Maru Farm.
• We have horses and other livestock on the property.
• They are to be respected and not approached unless invited to by the Anderson family.
• This is our family home and we are often away with our horses, so we try and keep prior visits to a minimum.
